Reed gets 4-peat

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -   Early County's Nett Reed is off to a great start in her final GHSA girls state track meet.

Reed won the AA long jump for a fourth straight year and won a first ever triple jump title by setting a state record at 41'1".

Reed looks to close out her high school career by winning a third 400 meter title on Saturday.

It would be her eighth individual state title in track.

Nett Reed said. "Both of them means a lot to me. I think winning four straight means a lot than breaking the record."


Mitchell County's Tiona Burley wins the AA discus with a toss of almost 116 feet.

And Keyandra Bell wins the shot put with Brooks County's Erica Dennard takes third.

In AAAA, Lee County's freshman Holly Ebetts finishing second in the pole vault.

Ebetts clears ten feet.

In AAAAA. Lowndes Kiera Peak places second in the high jump. Brittany Britt is third in the long jump and Stromm Phillips from Valdosta High places 4th.

Coffee's Lakeisha Fletcher was 4th in the shot.
