AUTREYVILLE, GA (WALB) – Autreyville Baptist church hosted a candlelight vigil to offer some solace to parents who have lost children.

More than a dozen names and pictures of those who passed away scrolled across the screen.

Organizers say the ceremony helps keep their memories alive.

"I Think it helps to keep the child alive every parent who loses a child is afraid their child is going to be forgotten people don't want to talk about it or bring it up because they don't want to upset you," said Sandra Cook, Colquitt Regional Bereavement Coordinator.

This is the second year the Bereavement Program at Colquitt Regional Hospital organized the ceremony.
