ALBANY, GA (WALB) – An Albany man is in critical condition, and tells his brother he was attacked and beaten by six men outside a Northwest Albany bar early Thursday morning.

Police say 25 year old Daniel Haire suffered a broken jaw, fractured neck and broken ribs.  Police say his brother found him badly beaten in the parking lot outside the One Trick Pony club on Dawson Road about 1:30 AM.

The owner says his security guards were breaking up another fight inside the club, at the time and only later were told about Haire's beating.

John Luttrell says one of his security guards suffered a separated shoulder trying to break up the fight. Police say they don't know why Haire was attacked, or who beat him.

"According to the brother, the victim said that he had been jumped, but apparently there were no other eyewitnesses.  So we are not exactly sure what actually happened.  So that is still under investigation," said APD's Steve Butler.

Haire is in critical condition at an Albany hospital.
