EARLY COUNTY,  GA (WALB) – There are new developments in the suspicious death of a man found in Early County a couple weeks ago.

The body of 33-year-old Leonard Scott Rathel was found April 20th in Chattahoochee River. He disappeared while swimming with friends the weekend prior.

On May 1st, Early County investigators charged 54-year-old Richard Coleman of Jakin, 29-year-old Jamie Jones of Donalsonville, and 34-year-old Scott Johnson of Moultrie with making false statements regarding his disappearance.

Rathel's autopsy came back inconclusive and his death is still under investigation.

Law enforcers want anyone with information to call the Early County Sheriff's Office at 723-3158
