Valdosta woman killed by drunk driver

Valdosta - A South Georgia woman was killed in a head-on collision with a drunk driver over the weekend.

Fifty-one year old Gwendolyn Johnson of Valdosta was driving her car on Inner Perimeter Road early Saturday when twenty-seven year old William Darell Coffey of Adel crossed the median and struck her head on.

Coffey also hit the drivers' side of another truck, driven by Forty-two year old William Anderson of Valdosta.

Johnson was killed instantly. Coffee is in South Georgia Medical Center in serious condition. Anderson received minor injuries.

Charges are pending.
