SOUTH HAVEN, MS (WALB) - The Valdosta State softball team won the Gulf South Conference Championship Sunday without even playing a game.

The Lady Blazers went 3-0 in the opening day of the tournament and thanks to mother nature that was all it took to claim the conference championship.

Rain wreaked havoc and the conference changed the tournament from double elimination to single elimination.

The Lady Blazers were the only unbeaten team and took the championship for a 2nd straight year.
