ALBANY, GA (WALB) – A Moultrie truck driver remains in an Arizona jail after troopers seized nearly 500 pounds of marijuana from his truck.

Arizona State Troopers stopped a truck on Interstate 17 near Phoenix for a safety violation. The driver, 35-year-old Tommy Lee Pinkins of Colquitt County was arrested after officers found 481 pounds of marijuana packed in new luggage in the sleeper berth of the truck.

Authorities estimate the street value of marijuana is worth more than a quarter of a million dollars. Pinkins is being held in the Maricopa County Jail on several drug charges.
