(Atlanta-AP) -- Braves catcher Javy Lopez left tonight's game against Philadelphia with a hamstring injury. Lopez was hurt in the second inning as he ran to first on a grounder, trying to prevent the Phillies from turning a double play.
About two-thirds of the way down the line, Lopez grimaced and began to slow. He grabbed at the back of his left leg after he crossed the bag. The injury wasn't believed to be serious. The team says Lopez is day to day. Lopez is batting .259 with three homers and eight RBIs.
On Thursday, he homered twice and had a career-high six R-B-Is against Montreal while playing in his native Puerto Rico.
