ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Damascus will host a fundraising music festival starting Friday.

Hundreds are expected for the inaugural Briar Patch Festival just east of Highway 45 on Five Bridges Road.

A portion of the ticket sales and all the donations will go to the Hasan Shriners.

"Damascus is where I'm from we've always wanted to do a festival there and we decided it would be a great year to start," said Bo Henry, Bo Henry Band.

The music begins Friday night at six and continues Saturday and Sunday.

Organizers encourage you to come out with camper, trailers, and tents for the weekend.
