ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Former Darton basketball star Dominique Gilbert will remain teammates with former Lady Cavalier guard Marah Wright next season.
On Thursday Gilbert signed a scholarship to play at Columbus State next year.
The former Monroe Tornado transferred to Darton after playing at Gulf Coast Community College.
She earned all-region honors this season averaging 16 points and 12 rebounds a game.
Gilbert says she will always be grateful for the opportunity she had at Darton.
"It means a lot to me and I was kind of glad when I talked to coach Blackwell and asked her if I could come back home to play basketball."
