CORDELE, GA (WALB) – A south Georgia high school is named one of the country's best by a national magazine.

Crisp County High School is in the top 30 on U-S News and World Report's list of America's best high schools.

The honor went to about 1700 schools nationwide.

Administrators say the award is a tribute to everyone involved in the school.

Toriano Gilbert, the Principal of Crisp County High School said, "this award is a tribute to what our teachers and our students do here at Crisp County High School every day. We're very humbled to receive this award."

Crisp County High School has also been recognized in recent years for its high S-A-T scores.
