ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Tifton native and Republican State Representative Austin Scott says that he will withdraw from the governor's race, and set his sights on the 8th Congressional District seat held currently by Jim Marshall.
Scott will host a press conference Friday at the North Steps inside of the State Capitol to discuss his entry into the race.
Scott plans to open a campaign office in the district within two weeks.
