THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) – The Thomasville Cultural Center's Spring Art Exhibit is now open, displaying artwork from five different area artists.
The exhibit features paintings, photography, and even Native American inspired pottery.
Two of the artists, John Gleason and Chris Baldridge, live and work in Thomas County. Organizers of the show say they're proud to feature work from Thomasville's own residents.
They also say the exhibit is different from many they've hosted in the past.
"It is contemporary art. We're very well-known for our Plantation Wildlife Arts Festival. But we're broader than that," explains Tricia Collins, the Thomasville Cultural Center Executive Director.
Many of the pieces shown in the exhibition are for sale.
The Spring Exhibition is free to the public and will run through May 21st.
