DAWSON GA (WALB) - Darton College welcomed a new player to the team next season and sending another to the four-year level.
In Dawson, Terrell Academy pitcher Amanda Cook signing to play for the Lady Cavaliers next year.
Cook threw two no-hitters last season and struck out 126 batters in leading the Lady Eagles to the GISA Class A state title.
Amanda is excited about going from one championship program in high school to another championship program at Darton.
Amanda Cook said. "I just think it will be a good experience. Close to home. I can have people from around here come watch me that I know. My parents I will be close to them."
Amanda Cook was an all-state and all region player for three years at Terrell Academy.
