ASHBURN, GA (WALB) –  Turner County Investigator Steve Mauldin confirms that Michael Dewayne Farmer, who has been at the center of concern from family and friends in Turner County, has been located safely in Detroit, Michigan.

The Sheriff's Office issued an alert for Farmer after he hadn't been seen by friends or family for a couple of days.

Mauldin says that Detroit police tell him that farmer is saying that he was forced to drive to Michigan.

We will have more information on the story when it is available.
