ALBANY, GA (WALB) – A 65-year-old woman was killed Tuesday night and three others were injured in a two car collision.

It happened around 7:40 at the intersection West Oakridge Drive and South Slappey Boulevard.

Witnesses told police the driver of a Lincoln Town Car heading south on South Slappey ran a red light and struck a Chevy Corsica on the passenger side.

Jeanette Ford, 65, a passenger in the Corsica, was dead when paramedics arrived. An 11-year-old girl, Melvina Dudley, and the 43-year-old female driver, Mary Oliver, were rushed to Phoebe Putney Hospital along with the driver of the Town Car.

Ford, Dudley, and Oliver were on their way to church at the time of the crash.

Officials say the child, who was in critical condition when EMT's arrived, was listed in good condition late Tuesday night.

The injuries to the two female drivers do not appear to be life threatening.

APD's traffic unit is still investigating exactly what caused the crash.

They will go back to reconstruct the accident scene Wednesday.
