PGA tour member Briny Baird, a two-time all-American at Valdotsa State in 1994 and 1995, is helping to locate missing children in America.
Each week Baird will have special recognition on his bag of a missing child from the area of that week's tour stop.
On the bag will be a picture of the child along with age and description as well as a toll-free number to call if anyone has any information concerning the child.
The effort begins this week at the Heritage at Hilton Head, South Carolina.
Baird, a member of Valdosta State's Athletic Hall of Fame class of 2001, is enjoying his best year on the PGA tour.
Heading to Hilton Head, Baird is 38th on the money list with winnings of more than $543,000.
Baird and wife Laura had their first child, a daughter, earlier this year.
