Valdosta - Three men are in jail for robbing a Valdosta bank.

Thirty-two year old Jim Lamar Brown, 18-year-old Marcus Lamar Johnson, and 17-year-old Lorenzo White, all of Valdosta, were arrested Wednesday night for robbing the Park Avenue Bank on Hill Avenue.

The men were armed with a handgun and knife. Investigators say they left a trail of evidence that led to the arrests.

"We were able to obtain a lot of evidence along the way," said Commander Steven Heaton. "They left the gun, money, knife, and articles of clothing all along their path."

The men are charged with one count of armed robbery and more charges are likely to follow. They're being held in the Lowndes County jail.
