ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Former Albany State quarterback A.J. McKenna will get a chance to play for the Super Bowl champion new Orleans saints.
McKenna will attend the Saints rookie mini-camp and hopes to sign as an undrafted free agent.
McKenna was the SIAC's offensive player of the year last year when he led the conference in passing and total offense.
McKenna "you are going to go in and work hard and study. I get to be under a guy like Drew Brees. He is just top of the line. To be able to work under someone like him and have him teach me day in and day out. It is going to be a great experience and a great opportunity."
The Saints rookie mini-camp is next week.
