ALBANY, GA (WALB) -  Arriving to the Albany Civic Center just 30 minutes before the scheduled kickoff, the Greenville Force wanted to show the Albany Panthers they were ready to battle.

They weren't.

Panthers quarterback Cecil Lester throws seven touchdown passes and runs for another in the Panthers 79-13 win.

Steve Morrison returned an interception for a touchdown and the Panthers defense also recorded a safety in their third win of the season.

Defensive lineman Alton Pettway said. "That was our whole motive in trying to win the game was get a shutout. Unfortunately they scored a couple of touchdowns but that was okay. The offense pulled it together."

Quarterback Cecil Lester said. "We came out a little slack. Threw a pick on the first one but we refocused and we got things rolling."

Head coach Luscious Davis said. "I am thankful for the way they respond especially under adverse circumstances. As a team we look very, very good. I am very pleased with our team right now."

Panthers have an open date and are back at home May 8th against Lafayette.
