ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Georgia Perimeter bounced back from Friday's loss to sweep a doubleheader from Darton on Saturday.
Jaguars jumped out to 8-1 lead in game one and held on for a 9-6.
Georgia Perimeter took game two 5-0.
The loss knocks Darton out of second and could drop them all the way to fifth in the final conference standings.
The Cavaliers now wait the outcome of Sunday's doubleheader with Middle Georgia at South Georgia.
Darton needs a sweep by the Warriors in order to avoid getting the #5 seed and a road trip in the first round of state tournament.
Middle Georgia and South Georgia weren't the only doubleheader rained out Saturday.
Valdosta State and West Florida also had two games postponed due to weather.
The three game series will now come down to a Sunday doubleheader in Pensacola.
The Blazers win the GSC east with a sweep and the Argonauts can clinch with a split.
