ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Their mission has been to raise money and awareness for local individuals, causes, and organizations in need

Mission: Change, a two-year-old non-profit, celebrated one year of monthly projects to help people right here in south Georgia.

The Projects are designed to highlight various needs in the community and connect volunteers to complete the projects.

On Saturday they served a meal to nearly one hundred homeless people at First Presbyterian to celebrate.

"We continue every month we do something right here in what we call our back yard where we can affect change locally and then our heart's desire is that it leaves the back yard and change the community and even the world," said David Blackwell, Mission Change Project Coordinator.

Most recently on the international front Mission Change has gathered hundreds of pounds of food and supplies from people in Southwest Georgia and delivered them to Haiti.
