ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Monroe High basketball team has been very popular with college recruiters this season.
On Tuesday a second Tornado player signed a college scholarship.
Monroe guard Brandon Blakely signed his scholarship this morning with Chattahoochee Valley Community College in Phenix City, Alabama.
Blakely was a second team all-region player for the Tornadoes with 12 points and six rebounds per game this season.
It was a season Brandon was disappointed with since Monroe didn't win the state championship but he is looking forward to getting the chance to play college basketball.
Brandon Blakely said. "I chose Chattahoochee because when I stepped on campus I liked the way it looked and the coaches and teammates were real nice and cool and I felt that was the place for me."
Monroe finished 26-3 and made it to the second round of the AAA state tournament.
