AMERICUS,  GA (WALB) – An inmate at the Sumter county jail was found dead in his cell Monday morning around 2:45. The Sheriff's office and the GBI are investigating. The Sheriff's office says they are not releasing the name right now because next of kin has not been notified. We'll have more later on WALB.
