ALBANY, GA (WALB) - One of southwest Georgia's very own may have just won one of the most important awards of his country music career.
Leesburg's Luke Bryan accepted his award for best New Artist at the Academy of County Music Awards tonight. He was up against Gloriana and Joey and Rory.
Bryan thanked his partners, family, fans and gave credit to his roots right here in southwest Georgia.
Bryan also appeared on the Apprentice Sunday night where the men's crew had to plan a concert for him.
