MADD holds South Georgia Sunday meeting

Adel, GA - (WALB) - South Georgia MADD Chapter members will meet on Sunday, April 18 at 4 p.m. at Western-Sizzlin Restaurant, on 4th Street at I-75 Exit 39 in Adel.

They will discuss their new website and upcoming events. Both locating victims of DUI drivers, their families and friends is a priority.

The Mothers Against Drunk Driving South Georgia group wants to expand its' membership within their regional area:

Atkinson, Baker, Ben Hill, Berrien, Brooks, Clinch, Coffee, Colquitt, Cook, Decatur, Dougherty, Early, Echols, Grady, Irwin, Lanier, Lee, Lowndes, Miller, Mitchell, Seminole, Thomas, Tift and Worth counties. It is their goal to develop at least one Community Action Site Leader for each county.

Chapter membership in MADD South Georgia is free and open to the public. Their membership is comprised of MADD Community Action Site volunteers who all share one thing in common: they are united in the passionate pursuit of putting an end to impaired driving, preventing underage drinking, and serving victims of this violent.

Persons who have been convicted of a DUI offense are welcome as long as their sentence is complete.

MADD South Georgia could be called "Many" Against Drunk Driving, but are actually known as Mothers Against Drunk Driving South Georgia. It is a group comprised of mothers, fathers, daughters, sons, friends, relatives, and neighbors who look out for each other and their community. They volunteer their time because somebody's child is going to experience the problems that come from drunk driving.
