ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Sherwood Christian basketball coach Matt Ruta informed his players Thursday he is resigning after two seasons.
Ruta was introduced as the new head basketball coach at North Florida Christian in Tallahassee, Florida on Friday.
Ruta will also serve as the school's Dean of Men.
It was an opportunity Ruta says he could not pass up adding NFC offered him their head coaching job last year.
Ruta says he does hate to leave the Sherwood Christian program that won 20 games in each of his two seasons and won the region title this year.
