Two Albany businesses hit by burglars

ALBANY, GA (WALB) –Bold thieves were caught on surveillance video stealing from a northwest Albany restaurant.

Take a look at this white car.  About 4:30 Monday afternoon it drove around the Harvest Moon parking lot on Dawson Road several times.

Then just minutes after owners put their lawn equipment in a storage locker behind the restaurant, the car pulled up to the door, and a man went inside and took about $1600 worth of yard and construction equipment.

Harvest Moon owner Bo Henry said "it's real bold for somebody to come into a parking lot in the middle of town at 4:30 in the afternoon when businesses are open and go into that parking lot and pull up and in broad daylight rob or steal."

Harvest Moon is offering a reward if you help catch the crooks.  Call CRIME STOPPERS at 436-TIPS.

A South Albany bar was also burglarized Wednesday.

About 5:30 Owner Henry Harris found the front door of the Palace Sports Bar on M-L-K Drive kicked in.

The burglars stole all his liquor and beer.
