ALBANY, GA (WALB) – A lucky Putney man has a bigger bank account tonight. 66-year old Roy Layfield won the $50,000 top prize in Jumbo Bucks Classic instant lottery game.

Layfield said he was feeling lucky when he bought the ticket at the Family Pantry in Putney, but it may be the store with all the luck. The Family Pantry sold a $1 Million winning ticket last year.

Store managers say they love sharing in the joy of lottery winners.  Bill Patel said, "He scratched it outside and then he came inside. and he said look at this, I won $50,000! And I said no man, are you sure? And I looked at the ticket and he be happy and I be happy too you know!"

Layfield is a regular at the Family Pantry. He has a wife and two adult children and has been retired for nine years. He plans to save his winnings.
