LEESBURG, GA (WALB) –  Lee County High School students interested in politics will hold a Congressional forum to introduce Republican 2nd Congressional District Candidates to the community. The forum will be held Saturday night at Lee County High School.

Representatives for several gubernatorial candidates will also be there. The School's Young Republicans did all the leg work to set up the event. Teacher Luann Bloodworth hopes the community will do their part and get to know the candidates.

"I feel like its very important for people to at least know who these people are, talk to them face to face, hear what they have to ask, ask their own questions," said Event Organizer Luann Bloodworth.

Lee County Republican Party will hold a BBQ dinner in conjunction with the forum at 5:00 in the High School parking lot. The cost of the dinner is $20 for adults and $15 for students. The candidates forum is free and starts at 7:00.
