Darton throws a party

ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Darton College students today enjoyed the school's biggest party of the year.

Hundreds of students enjoyed Darton's annual "Beach Party" at the school's campus.  Bands played music, and students got to enjoy a lot of activities and games, like bull riding, bungee jumping, and slip and slides.

They also had lots of food.Students say it's a nice break from the regular grind, just a couple of weeks before final exams for the spring semester.

"It's boring just going to class and doing the same thing everyday.  It's nice to have something to do when you don't have to be in a classroom," said Darton College Freshman Danielle Brock.

"From the winter, being inside the little student activity building, and coming out here and enjoying the weather. It's nice," said Darton College Sophomore Jared Edwards.

The beach party is sponsored by Darton's student activities department.

They say their mission is to provide cultural and social education opportunities, and this beach party is a very fun  part of that.
