Panthers face unknown against Wildcatters

After an impressive franchise opening win two weeks ago, the Albany Panthers are ready for round two in  the Southern Indoor Football League.

The Panthers are back in action after a bye week and back at home Saturday against Lafayette.

It should be a tough game considering the Wildcatters have been off for three straight weeks since a season opening loss at Greenville.

During that time, the team has changed coaches which means the Panthers don't have a lot of scouting information to work on this week at practice.

Head coach Luscious Davis is more concerned about his team.

The Panthers may have looked good in their win over Columbus two weeks ago but the head coach knows this team has to plenty of room to get better.

Luscious Davis said. "You have to improve on the little things like technique. Knowing your assignments. Knowing where you are supposed to be and why you are supposed to be there. That is all we can do. We can get better each week."

Game time is 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Albany Civic Center.

The Wildcatters will be back in Albany on May 8th.
