ALBANY, GA (WALB) –An Albany man pleads guilty to armed robbery charges, after a jury is seated to hear his trial.
36 year old Nathaniel Lewis pleaded guilty to armed robbery late Monday, as opening arguments were about to begin. He was sentenced to three years in prison.
Prosecutors say Lewis was the mastermind of the armed robbery of the FYE Music Store at the Albany Mall in November 2005. His wife Evette was an employee at the store, and has already pleaded guilty to her part in the robbery. She'll be sentenced at a later date.
