MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) –  Sheriff's investigators say the victim called the Sheriff's office after escaping to her sister's home.

She told investigators William Poole raped her as she tried to leave his home on Tommy Meredith Road Monday morning.

She said Poole stopped her from leaving, tore her clothes off, and raped her.

Poole was booked into the Colquitt County Jail Tuesday.
