ATHENS, GA (WALB) - Georgia golfer Harris English has been named the Southeastern Conference's golfer of the week.
The junior from Thomasville won the medalist honors at the Morris Williams Intercollegiate in Austin Texas where the Bulldogs won the team title.
English tied the University of Texas golf club record with his final round of 65 that earned him his second tournament win this season.
The Georgia golf team is ranked 4th in the nation and in action this weekend at the SEC championship at St. Simons.
