VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) –Police are searching for two men who shot a Valdosta man while breaking into his home.

35-year old Wesley White was shot in the leg Friday after two men broke into his home on South Lee Street.

Police say White heard someone knock on his front door.

Before he could get to the door, the men broke in and shot him.

Police responded to South Georgia Medical Center after the hospital notified them telling them they had a patient with a gunshot wound.

"He (White) said they left the area," said Valdosta Lt. Aaron Kirk. "He didn't know if they got anything at the time. He was able to call someone to take him to the hospital."

Monday, White is out of the hospital.

The two robbers are black, approximately six feet tall.

They had their faces covered and were both wearing black shirts and black pants.
