TIFTON, GA (WALB) –A suspect is now in jail in a shooting last week in Tifton.

Willie James Lee Jr. surrendered over the weekend.

Police say Lee shot through a window at 520 Alder Street, wounding 23-year old Emanuel Newsome and 18-year old Jasmine Adkins.

The bullets narrowly missed a four year old child that was sitting between the two victims.

Lee is charged with three counts of aggravated assault.

Police believe a fight led to the shooting.
