Suspect leads drug unit agents on chase

ALBANY, GA (WALB) – A suspected Albany drug dealer led drug unit officers on a chase through two counties Friday night.

Albany Dougherty drug agents spotted 28-year-old Jamie Keith in the area of Mock Road and Oglethorpe Avenue a little before 8 o'clock Friday night.

When they tried to pull him over, he drove through a median to get away.

Agents chased him just passed the Worth County line.  He finally stopped near the intersection of Highways 112 & 133.

"We recovered some cocaine and crack. And obviously we're going to have numerous traffic charges on him now. He's out on bond for the same thing already. So, we're going to investigate this further and see what else we can come up with," said Major Bill Berry, Albany/Dougherty Drug Unit Commander.

They're questioning Keith right now.

A drug agent's car overheated and caught fire.
