HOUSTON, TX (WALB) - Former Dougherty and FSU star Alexander Johnson expected be in uniform for the Houston Rockets in their game Friday night against Charlotte.
Johnson signing a contract for the rest of this season and next season with the Rockets after passing a physical Friday morning.
The Rockets were one of several teams after Johnson after he dominated the NBA's development league in Sioux Falls where AJ averaged 23 points a game.
Johnson last played in the NBA for the Miami Heat two years ago.
He was waived by the Jazz at the end of training camp in September.
The Rockets waived center Hilton Armstrong to make room on their roster for Johnson who will play with the team this summer.
