Lee Co. wants everyone counted in the Census - WALB.com, Albany News, Weather, Sports

ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  So far, 71% of Lee County households have returned Census forms, but entire streets were somehow left out of the initial census form mailing.

Thursday, county leaders announced a final push to get everyone counted, even if they have to hand deliver Census forms.

"I personally never got a census form in the mail," said County Commission Vice Chairman Rick Muggridge. "The chairman of the county commission didn't get a census form in the mail. For whatever reason, we don't know and we can't change that. The local census people weren't in charge of the mailing, they're just in charge of the follow up. That's the reason we've had so many calls from people who didn't get forms."

There are several locations in Lee and other Counties where you can go to get help filling out your forms. These Locations Will Close On April 19, 2010--
