ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  Authorities in Tifton are investigation two separate shootings that left three people injured Wednesday night.

In the first incident, two people were wounded by gunshots about 9:00 at 520 Adler Street. Shots were fired through the window of the house, and struck two people sitting on the couch.

23-year-old Emanuel Newsome and 18-year-old Jasmine Adkins were struck. But luckily, a 4-year-old child sitting there was not injured.

In an unrelated incident, which police say may be drug-related, 21-year-old Jerone Hester was wounded. The shooting happened at 818 Madison Avenue shortly before 11:00PM. Hester was air-lifted to a Macon hospital, and was in critical condition.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and Tifton Police Department are conducting the investigation.

WALB will have more information later.
