VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -  Lowndes High southpaw Payne Alderman is taking his pitching talents to the Savannah College of Arts and Design.

Alderman beat the top ranked AA team Cook High 3-2 Tuesday night.

This season Alderman is 2-0 with 30 strikeouts and an earned run average under two.

Alderman is excited to play college baseball at SCAD where he plans to major in architecture.
