ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  The Heart Association wants you to walk whenever you can to improve your health.

It's National Walking at Work Day.  At Phoebe Healthworks, several employees and spouses were taking advantage of the health center to stay fit.

Health officials say you also need to eat right and do some type of exercise at least three days a week.

"Whatever you do, you need to makes sure you're getting that three days, at least three days a week exercise, part of that is weights, part of that is cardio but at the least you must have, we try to recommend 45 minutes to an hour cardio. Supplement that with some weights, your doctor will love you," said Phoebe Healthworks Manager Julian Maddox.

The Heart Association's Albany Heart Walk website now has more information about how your office can participate.
