ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  Just by eating lunch in downtown Albany today, many people donated to the fight against cancer.

Café 230 partnered with Relay for Life to donate 10% of what they made during lunch today to the Relay for Life Campaign.

Cafe 230 co-owner B. J. Fletcher believe it's important to help other community partners.

"It's just a very vibrant part of what Albany's about, this town I've learned every day it's about helping people and I'm just amazed I see people every day asking if you can just donate or can you do this, can you do that, these people here they're working, they're getting the word out and it's just a win, win situation for everybody."

The owners also challenged other Albany restaurants to participate next year. Nearly a dozen area restaurants have participated this year along with Café 230.

Relay for Life will finish the campaign tomorrow night at Moes where a percentage of tomorrow's sales from 11:00 to 9:00 will go to Relay for Life.

Albany's Relay for Life will be held April 16th.
