AMERICUS, GA (WALB) - Georgia Southwestern took two of three weekly Peach Belt Conference softball awards for last week's action.
Lyndi Duff was named Player of the Week and sophomore Jessica Martin was named the Pitcher of the Week
Duff hit .667 in four games last week to become the first GSW softball player to ever be named the Player of the Week. She cracked two home runs and drove in eight.
Martin earns Pitcher of the Week honors after tossing 13 shut out innings in two complete-games.
GSW is back in action on Wednesday in a doubleheader against Columbus State beginning at 5:00 in Americus.
