ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  Thieves again target a northwest Albany construction company stealing thousand of dollars in metal.

Over the weekend the suspect took as much as $2,500 in fabricated rebar from behind C.A. Brown Construction that was scheduled to be delivered to a job. The manager told us it's not the first time they've fallen victim.

The company's had the lock cut on an empty trailer on the property several times along with the shop burglarized and 24 checks that were stolen, two of them written and cashed.

Since the last break in they've installed a security system and he's considering cameras. Albany Police are also making more frequent stops through the neighborhood.
