ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  Dougherty County's new School Superintendent has submitted a proposed contract to school board members.

The board let Dr. Joshua Murfree and his attorney come up with the proposal. Board members are now reviewing the contract and are expected to discuss it Wednesday afternoon in a special called meeting.

Murfree was hired March 24th, without a contract and without being named the best possible candidate, so they can't yet apply for his Superintendent's certificate. Wednesday's meeting will be held at 4:00 PM at the School Administration Building.
