Pavo -  (WALB) - 19 year-old Marco Johnson was shot in the neck and chest early Easter morning near Pear Street and County Line Road.

Johnson had an argument with 30-year-old Leonard Bernard Branham of Pavo.

"Branham and several friends were driving through Pavo when Branham spotted Johnson asked the driver to stop," said Sheriff Mike Dewey. "Branham got out of the car and an altercation ensued between the two, at which time the offender fired three shots, striking Johnson in the neck and shoulder."

Johnson is in critical condition in Archbold Memorial Hospital. Thomas County deputies arrested Branham Monday just outside of Thomasville following an anonymous tip.

Branham is currently being held in the Brooks County Jail pending charges for Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Fire Arm During the Commission of a Crime.
