ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Albany state continued their founder's day celebration with a special golf game.

ASU students, alumni and a number of community supporters hosted the second annual Founder's Day Golf Tournament.

It started on Saturday morning at the Flint River Golf Course, as many as sixty people teamed up to play for cash prizes.

Someone also got a chance to win a one million dollars in a hole-in-one shootout.

Organizer say the even will raise money for scholarships.

"What I would like to do is make this a spring festival to coincide with founders day, make it a big fundraiser and include everyone. We have people from out of town here today but we have to get people in town to buy into this to help Albany State," said Hampton Smith, Tournament Director.

Organizers hope to raise as much as $15,000 at the Tournament.

Proceeds will benefit the Hamp Smith Scholarship Fund and ASU Foundation Scholarships.
