Fire at Equinox Chemicals

ALBANY, GA (WALB) – A fire investigation is underway at Equinox Chemicals on West Oakridge Drive. Albany Fire units HAZMAT crews were called to scene around 3 o'clock and found yellow and green smoke is billowing from the building.  Oakridge Drive from South Westover to Willie Pitts were shut down for about an hour. No employees were at work at the time of the fire and no one was injured. A firefighter was taken to a local hospital with heat exhaustion.
